hi! i am working on my first ever website and learning a lot along the way but i have arrived at a point where i need help. Basically there are two main parts to my website. (it's for my mom's medical studio, i want one part to link to her private practice and the other to go to an analysis lab she recently opened. They offer two completely different services and she doesn't want people to be confused by the website)
I want to create an enter page with two banners that will link people to each of the two parts.
I am using wordpress and i have been modifying one of the basic themes.
Please help! thank you

Why not create two block level links, each with the appropriate banner image, that link to the two different sites?

I agree, this would be the better choice, especially if your are concerned about SEO. Enter pages more than not are a dead end (no content, no keywords, etc)
