Hand code HTML

Does anyone here still hand code HTML? I mean for fun. Granted much of the code is depracted because of CSS. But does anyone out there still make a website they learned years ago (literally just HTML, no CSS, no JavaScript)?
If so, how would people fell for a little HTML website showdown?

i do a fair share of hand coding, but no pure static html pages for me.

All the above depends on the quality of the tool, and the skill of the hands wielding it. There's no doubt that there are times when visual editors can be used to great effect.
