First website of Metal Detectors manufacturer, Needs help

Good afternoon everyone,

I want to ask for your help in reviewing my first website www.deepers-detector.com I strongly believe there is an enormous (or more than one) flaw in my design. I just can’t seem to open my mind to the right direction, the site just doesn’t feel right. I am open for any critique there is. I really would like to know my mistakes for the future.

I like where you are going with the website. A HUGE concern for me is the navigation bar. It wasn't showing up for me unless I rolled over it and still was really hard to work. When I went "Our Detectors" page I could see the nav, but it didn't seem quite right.

I also think that the sky image behind the side bars is too distracting. I didn't even bother with seeing what was in them. Text should have a pleasing background for reading.

Not sure what script you are using but it crashed my browser so I did not get a chance to see very much.

I have changed the navigation bar, ustilizing one extention I have recently discovered. What background would you recommend me to use there (plain color, the same image with edited colors)? I just cant seem to find the right solution for it.

Could you please tell me what browser did you use? I havent had any problems on IE or Mozilla (on the ones I have tested)

Hi, It's wise to be so open to feedback. Your hunch is right, it needs some work.

My main concern is the quality of graphics. I suggest you remove most of your graphics unless you can get better at photoshop, or whatever program you are using. Take a more simple approach. Good luck -

From what I saw it was a good start. Pay attention to load time, as the page took a while.

I am using FF 3.5.3 and the script crashed my browser repeatedly...
