alright so i am trying to mod a theme and almost have it where I need it- however, I need the body to be transparent (or no BG)- currently it is the white space at the bottom that spreads out-

If I change the body tag to have a grey background it makes that white area gray (I have narrowed it down) - however, setting it to none, transparent or removing the background setting all together have no effect, no matter what I do the dang thing is still there (the white space that stretches to either side on the bottom of the linked page..- (all I can do is change its color...)

Because you're using the empty divs for the background images, it's messing up your background. Take those out completely and use that image as the body background and it stretches like you want it to.

not quite

although your fix did fix my immediate issue, it killed the effect - when a top nav link is clicked the background actually moves 100px to left- When I use the image as the body background it no longer moves... Although it does clear the white space.

Fixed-

had to set min-height to 1100px (in case anyone was curious)

It doesn't look like it killed it to me? Looks like it moves.
