Creating a web page which shows the server directory

Hi there...

I was trying to work out if it is possible to create a web page which lists the directory which is currently on the server?

I am a teacher and have loaded all the teaching files onto my web server and want to know if I can just view the server directory from my website rather than have to create hundreds of hyperlinks.

Some computers won't have ftp software etc for me to view the server directory so I needed some sort of web page to link to the files.

Can anyone help?

what your after? is it a page that will list all the contents of a directory

idf so i can put up a php file that will do that

Yep that's right. I want to be able to go to my web page and see the current files which are in a specific directory on my web server and be able to open them. Rather than create heaps of individual hyperlinks which will need to be updated whenever I change the server directory.

I tried setting up a google group but it only loads files individually rather than using FTP so that wasn't viable, but I liked how you had a page that you could view all your files.

I can across this a while ago, its encrypted but works pretty good

its lists all files except itself, when they where lasted updated etc, and it looks neat, just download it and unpack it, its already named index.php and upload to your folder

theres afew demo's and downloads on this page, the middle one V2 is the one i think would probably best suit you
