Best software?

My wife is looking for a very easy to use web design software for the PC. Have been looking at Coffeecup and Web Easy 8. I wish there was something like Apple's "iWeb" for the PC, that would be perfect. Any suggestions for something WYSIWYG along the lines of iWEB?

Also, ideally I wish I could find something that runs on both the PC and MAC, where I could put the files and on a network drive where we could collaborate and each make changes to the same website. Is there anything that runs on both?

Dreamweaver is going to be your best WYSIWYG editor and it's cross-platform compatible. If money is an issue then check out Blue Griffen. In all honesty though you should look into learning to write the code yourself... It's just the best way to do it.

My two cents...don't rely on WYSIWYGs. I have yet to see one that writes clean html. Quite often they "tag-stuff"content (use too many tags to achieve a simple layout).

My suggestion to your wife is have her write here own code. Start simple as progress from there.
