Anybody heard of LetsServeIt?

I mainly ask because their servers are "down"... I used to have a client area where I can ask questions and get tech support, etc... but it won't load.

Their web site is: http://letsserveit.net/
The client site is: https://clients.letsserveit.net/

I only noticed this because I went to one of the sites I run and it said my account has been suspended, and they never charged me this month around the 20th like they normally do. I have emailed them and I'm pending reply, just wanted to check here to see if anybody has their domains hosted through them as well and knows what's going on.

I currently have 3 domains, and only pay $2.50/mo... I'm hoping I won't have to pay triple that if I have to change hosts. :/

Well; you do get what you pay for and if you consider your 'business' is not worth more than $2.50 a month, you obviously don't think much of it.

It isn't a business, they are personal sites. I don't use a whole lot of bandwidth or space for either of the domains and their support has been superb in the past, so this host was suitable for my situation. I have been hosting through them for 7 years at that price with no problems.... until now, obviously.

I know you like to respond sarcastically; I follow this forum more than I post and always get a laugh out of your replies (even this one)... but you should not assume all New Members are total dimwits. Sometimes we just need help... lol

And sometimes the person ASKING the question needs to provide BETTER INFORMATION.

Had you said that these are 'personal' sites the cost what you pay and why you pay so little would NOT have been factored in to my response. ANY responder can only answer the question that you actually ask and the reply can only based on the information you provide.

The 'wisdom' of using 'hosting companies' that are ludicrously cheap is not a problem provided you understand that they do disappear overnight, often with not warning at all and you are prepared for when that happens.

These, http://www.solarvps.com/ are the providers of the server that letsserveit.net is hosted on and probably your sites were as well, see if they can shed some light.

Thank you chrishirst, that's good information to know. How did you find that information out? That could have saved me the embarassment of posting in here and looking like a fool. lol

I did receive an email back and think we figured out the problem with my account. I guess I jumped to panic mode yesterday. :/

Get the IP that the website is on, then use IP Address Lookup to find out who 'owns' that CIDR allocation.

That's sure gonna come in handy from now on. Thanks again!
