    Review My new Website Please....Thanks!

I go away for a while and someone re-decorates the house... anywho. Its a UX nightmare. Hover styles and font colors are way bad for accessibility. The contact page seriously needs a redo. I wont even bother going into the code as Phreaddee already has but, yup, issues abound.

Totally disagree. As a customer, its NICE to see the price up front like that, I find the 2050 price a little odd, but I'm sure you have a reason, lol. And no, its not 'too expensive', unless your using a pre-built Wordpress theme. I currently bill at 35 - 37 an hour, so 2 weeks of my time is...

Calc() is a great css property!

The only downside Ive come across is, I did a site that had a slide out side nav with a full screen slide show. On that I had to over ride it because it caused some oddness. Just a heads up.

    iframe not opening in fancybox

OR.. you could take a second, pop open the code and see that there is no hash on the url being clicked. Don't go chasing bugs that don't exist. BTW found another reference to jquery latest being loaded, this time thru a script appending it in the header?? You might want to start looking at...

    iframe not opening in fancybox

Okay just looked at your post on blocking script. May I ask why your using a slideshow that uses .hashchange. That can cause all sorts of issues. Also some script seems to not be loading. I don't really use plug ins that much, but that might be some starting points.

So, 2 things I noticed, well one noticed one idea. Your loading jquery latest 3 times, from 2 sources, in 2 places. Also I see the sliders are changing the hash value in the url. If your using ( and you are ) some sort of smooth scrolling, normally this looks for a hash and will scroll to it...

Advice on A.S. degree for Web Design

Welp.. heres the thing, with the open source it looks like they have a focus on JSP and Java... which is kind of waining in favor of things like ruby, php, node, etc. The MS elective covers what looks like 85% of what you need to work in a MS shop ( minus Razor and MVC from what the listing...

Advice on A.S. degree for Web Design

Yeah this seems to be more than you'll need for design. That being said, knowing HTML/CSS and JavaScript will help in web design so you have an understanding of how things work, but all of that is over kill

    full background slider with URL

Another thing you COULD try ( I THINK this should work) is to infuse a little JS into the mix. Give each li a data-type and set it to be the url you want. Then loop thru with a .each to pull out the url and set a click event for it to open a new window for it. The way you are doing this.. Im...

Ron, it looks like he changed it from when I saw it and you.. looks much better. But what Ron said is 100% correct. Its about building trust to the brand. Your DEFINITELY heading in the right direction as its starting to look much more twards the modern look, but now it looks a little plain jane.

    Tools of the Trade

Grunt is cool once learned. All the magic happens in the package.json file. Once you set that the way you want it its good to go. My set up for it is more than likely painfuly simple, but it does what I need it to ( uglify, Sass build, etc) so .. why fix what aint broke.

Im on firefox and I can see it there. The print.. pop open firebug.. the divs have a class of "printfriendly" in css target and hide the a tag for the links you don't want. css style .easy-table th, .easy-table td has padding.. kill it.. table will be fine.

Asking Chris not to say anything is akin to asking to asking someone south of the Mason Dixon line not to say "fixin"... America.. whatever... Anywho.. I find the site to totaly NOT speak on the subject matter.. screws and metal looking for a bible camp??? The "print" button.. on forms? Maybe...
