i would say as far as the part that you have circled...you are not saving them to be optimized you are just changing the extensions because of the minor size difference. open the gif up in photoshop, and save it for web and devices. you will not lose any quality and the file will be WAY smaller...

Ah... ASP an outdated language for M$ servers... I USED to know it but i have forgotten most of it. Everything is now done in php or ASP.NET or what ever new M$ programming language is out there that you have to spend money on... If I knew a good asp programmer i would point you off to them but...

WordPress is going to be a good choice. I'm not a fan of Joomla but I've heard its pretty good too. Both have many extensions to make your website work for you so i would say going with one of those too and maybe getting some help here and there and doing ALOT of research would be the best way...

Yeah i forgot to change that, im still tweaking everything, i cant really see what the sites look like on older browsers because on all of the ones on my computers are updated

yeah ive been tweking the slider and playing with the design, im not making anymore pages till my step mother-in-law says she likes the design. But i think its coming together nicely, might have to make an IE compatible css sheet though
