Generally, most people ask about ‘graphic design vs. web design. What is the difference?’. Most of the guys think that both are the same, but the guys are wrong. The truth is graphic design vs web design, same as UX vs. UI and like Flat Design vs. Material Design.

The use of graphics, typography, graphs, and photographs to communicate a concept is known as graphic design. Graphic designers are capable of working on both print and multimedia projects. Graphic Design, unlike Web Design, focuses solely on the development of graphics for use on websites or in print. No programming is done by graphic designers.

I would vote that graphic design is “better” because of the lack of control that online design allows. Specifically, the nuances of your design, and overall left-to-right and top-to-bottom design you achieved in print will be modified as your design creation must be accommodate screens of widely-differing sizes.

The biggest difference between graphic and web design is their medium. The rules for print versus the web vary greatly.
Graphic Designs need to say something quickly, clearly and concisely with as much visual impact as possible.
Web Designs need to do the same, but they have many limitations to consider. For example, an image’s file size and resolution will impact the speed and performance of the website it is on.

Both are basically same, Graphic Design is the use of graphics, typography, graphs, and images to communicate an idea. Graphic designers can work on both print projects and digital projects. Unlike Web Design, Graphic Design only concerns the creation of graphics for use on websites or in print. Graphic Designers do not do any programming.
Custom Website Design, just like Graphic Design, is the creation of graphics, typography, graphs, and images to communicate an idea. However, Web Design only concerns websites, not print. Web Designers are responsible for creating websites that not only look good but load quickly. Thus, Web Designers face certain restrictions that Graphic Designers do not. For example, they need to take into account things such as file size, image resolution, etc.

There are a few key differences between Graphic design and Web Design.

There are graphics, typography, graphs, and images to communicate an idea in Graphic Design. Graphic designers can work on both digital projects and print projects. Unlike Web Design, Graphic Design only involves graphics for use on websites or in print. Whether it’s a magazine design or printed materials, children’s books tend to be less interactive than their digital counterparts. Graphic Designers do not do any programming.

Web Design is also the creation of graphics, typography, graphs, and images to convey an idea. However, Web Design only involves websites, not print. Web design focus on the web is how artistry can complete experiences people can interact with — experience in — rather than simply consume. They are not only into making a website but also responsible for the load it quickly. Thus, Web Designers face particular limitations that Graphic Designers do not. For example, they need to take into account things such as file size, image resolution, etc.
