this section is the big ugly door to the spammers and link droppers.
it is full of ridiculous info, 99% of which is wrong.
I'm feeling like deleting them all and starting over.

any valued members of this forum have any objections to that?

Yeah dump it, the signal/noise ratio is well over 95%.

and you could block CIDR ranges 122/24, 121/24. 182/24, which are part of Airtel Broadband India's (The 'SEO' spammers ISP of choice) allocation.

Mind you, SEO being what it is, there's no 99% firm way of doing it rightly or wrongly - everyone has their own tactics, if it works it just works. If your system isn't working, then you're out of the SEO game altogether anyway.

This is our point right here... just link dropping...

Yeah, out with it. I don't think I ever saw anybody in there asking for help that really cared about their site beyond how high up on the search engine it was.

Perhaps you could reboot it and get some valued members to write some informative stickies... The nonsense I have had to read through just today is too much for this little heart to bear.

I misread your post as "Does it involve spam and waffles?"
Not a breakfast combination I'd enjoy, but I'll take those waffles! =D

Some guys, dont have answers of the thread , then they look up-down and suggest some words matching from up-down replies , then they place their reply.

So , actually those who have knowledge gives app. correct answers , and there reward is backlink.

so , moderators have to look in-appropriate answers and then remove them.

If you don't know what you're saying then don't say it! if people want to contribute to a topic, but know nothing about it, then they should learn through study, rather than try to "make up" a response just to get a link.
someone else will probably always know the correct answer and more often then not will tear them to shreds for MISINFORMATION.

So , actually those who have knowledge gives app. correct answers , and there reward is backlink.

No actually, i've barely noticed anyone WITH a link that has provided a correct answer. the members WITHOUT a link generally provide help and advice as a service, rather than to direct someone to their site. IMHO if you want to help someone with a problem, help them, but dont do it only for a "reward" thats just rubbish.

so , moderators have to look in-appropriate answers and then remove them.

the spam is bad enough to deal with, then you've got the douchebags who don't even understand the question, and the ones that copy n paste from google/wikipedia. alternatively to the mods doing all the work, hows about just simply posts that are decent in their content and not spammy drivel?

is that really too hard?
