I assume the website is new so showing no PR would mean your site hasn't been indexed by google yet.
All you need to do is put a link on some other website that is already indexed linking back to yours. The higher PR that site has the better for you. Then you just have to wait for the google bot to pay you a visit. After several weeks you should get pagerank.

If you had PR 0 or higher before and now all of a sudden you have no PR at all that could mean your site may have been banned from google.

Good luck!

and new sites are taking a lot lot longer to get any sort of pagerank than they once used to.

Yay! PR=3! :D

Only been open since August. On another note, my http://www.burningviolet.com/ PR is now 4!
The PR predictor on SEOCHAT.COM is utter crap!

I managed to get my PR up one in just about a month, a little less. :)

Wh00t. Sorry, I'm just happy. My BF doesn't care. He doesn't know what PR is...o_O

Google doesnt update pr very frequently. The last update took many months, and had a lot of people waiting inpatiently. Myself included. Well done on the pr4

comgrats on the PR3 and PR4.
PR4 is quite good, a lot of sites got penalised in the recent PR update.
I had one of mine go down from a PR5(had been a pr5 for many years) to a PR4, I suspect it was because I had a couple of pages saying I sold text link advertising, even though I have not sold a text link ad for over 1 and a half years. Though a lot of sites got punished far worse.

according to www.intellirank.net my blog is PR2!

although it is predicting it will be a PR3 soon. *shrug*

nmpoc.com's results on that site are even more confusing. however, i did find out that it is listed on google as number 17 for the search term "probe owners club". so that's not to bad considering i have never done any SEO work for either site. i did take the time today though and submitted both sites to both google and yahoo today to get crawled. so we'll see what happens in a or so.

These recent PR drops created a lot of angry webmasters and created a lot of resentment against google. A lot of the drops may have been warranted, but I still think some PR drops were unfair.

well it was PR5 and then it went down to 4 and 3, and then for 1 week it was 0.... last time i checked it went up to 3. I don't know what GG is doing, but I don't think my efforts are unworthy. It is afterall a knowledge magazine for crying out loud.

I think she meant PageRank Button...

Did she mean 'showing PR' on her site, or showing PR in terms of the site, because she obviously knew her PR. Why would there be a need to show it unless she meant actually showing it on the site itself.

If the latter is what she's looking for, she wants a PageRank Button.

There's a lot of them to choose from on the Net, which come in a couple different colors (though I haven't seen too many variations), all of which are free to use. I'm not sure how they impact your pagerank, though. They may lower it because search engines like Google look down upon frequent rank queries, which I believe is what buttons like these do. But I haven't found any literature on them hurting rank. I just suspect it. Time will tell. I'm actually running a test on one now. Gotta wait it out though.

Good luck, friend,
The Lion.
