Why Are Simple Games Often More Addictive Than Complicated Ones?

Some of the most popular games have extremely simple mechanics that can be understood within minutes. Why do you think simple and repetitive gameplay can sometimes be more engaging than games involving complicated rules and strategy?

I realize this is from a while ago, but I wanted to add that simple games often trigger quick reward cycles, making your brain crave just one more round. Do you think the lack of overwhelming choices lets players relax, or does it simply exploit our need for fast feedback?

Simple games hook us because they offer immediate feedback and a clear sense of progress. That loop is easy to enter and hard to leave. I’ve noticed the same pull when I switch between light games and the varied options at dimensi 69, which keeps things fresh without overcomplicating the experience.
